Our wine-making project
Since the very beginning, the Desvalls family has had deep roots in the land and has taken care of it to maintain the indigenous landscape. The current generation follows the same philosophy and maintains the tradition. Always focused on sustainability during the wine-making process to achieve wines with a 100% Mediterranean character.
Every single Finca Viladellops wine is created solely with grapes grown on our land, grapes carefully selected to guarantee perfection in the final product: Grenache and Xarel·lo.

The wine tours of Finca Viladellops
In the heart of the Penedès you can enjoy a unique wine tourism experience. Discover Finca Viladellops, a setting that combines history, landscape, and culture and enjoy the most authentic wine tourism.
Discover the winery (which dates back to 1877), visit the vineyards and learn the secrets of winemaking. Finca Viladellops, located next to the castle of Olèrdola (45 minutes from Barcelona and 10 minutes from Sitges) offers you a complete experience. In addition to tasting our wines, you can discover small gems such as the 12th century chapel, the 11th century medieval tower and the permanent exhibition The Desvalls family and Catalonia.
The Winery of Finca Viladellops
The current winery of Finca Viladellops dates back to 1877 and is very close to the castle of Olèrdola, the lands surrounding the Penedès wine region. All over the mountainside that surrounds our winery are fields of olive trees, almond trees and the family’s vineyards, which date back many years.
The authenticity of the winery is the finest part of Finca Viladellops, it is where the history and legacy of the estate is kept and maintained, the wine kitchen that still maintains vestiges of its beginnings. Majesty and grandeur are not its main strengths because it does not need them, since its walls, halls, wineskins, and antique machinery that is still preserved speak for themselves.
Finca Viladellops
The authenticity of a wine-making village
Finca Viladellops is located next to the castle of Olèrdola, in the Garraf Massif wine region, in the Penedès, 45 km from Barcelona. The origins of Olèrdola go back to the Iberians; and its historical and strategic importance has been perpetuated over time, acting in medieval times as a border town with the Muslim world.
A certified organic winery, with 60 Ha of its own vineyards, cultivated with the indigenous Xarel·lo and Grenache varieties, within a property covering 400 Ha.
The mountainside that surrounds the winery is populated with terraces of olive trees, almond trees and vineyards, crops that have constituted the agricultural base of the property since time immemorial.
